Endler Appointed to State Architects Licensure Board

Registered Architect Patrick J. Endler, AIA, LEED-AP, has been appointed to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s State Architects Licensure Board.

The State Architects Licensure Board protects the health, safety, and property of the people of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by regulating the practice and licensure of the architectural profession. The Board also promulgates standards of professional conduct and establishes rules and regulations for the examination of licensure applicants.

Endler was nominated by Governor Shapiro and approved by a recent vote of the Pennsylvania Senate. He is one of five PA registered architects to serve in this capacity.

“Representation on the State Board is typically comprised of architecture professionals from larger cities such as Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. As someone who has lived and worked in northeastern Pennsylvania my entire career, I’m excited to share my perspectives on topics important to professional architects working in more suburban and rural regions like ours. The opportunity to serve in this role and influence the future of Pennsylvania’s growing architecture community is especially exciting,” stated Endler.

Endler was sworn in by the Honorable Richard M. Hughes, III, Judge of the 11th Judicial District’s Court of Common Pleas, and his four-year term of service began in October 2024. The State Board meets multiple times per year and will guide policies, credentialing, and other areas of importance related to professional architecture in the Commonwealth.

Endler is a registered architect in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, North Carolina, and Ohio and earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Notre Dame.
